Monarchia Park awaits guests wishing to ski and snowboard right in Lachtal, in one of the most beautiful parts of Styria. The elegant alpine holiday village is located 1,650 meters above the sea level, in the immediate vicinity of the ski routes and ski lifts. Thanks to its location and the equipments of the self-catering apartments, this ski-in-ski-out lodging is ideal for family skiing.
A safe and secure ski run designed for children, skiing lessons for the kids, family skiing offers, wellness facilities, New Year's Eve skiing, ski-in-ski-out lodging with half-board and other high and preseason promotions make the elegant and modern apartment village unique.
Monarchia Park, however, waits for the guests not only in winter. The scenic environment with the view of the mountains and the unique beauty of the nature may provide calm and rich relaxation for visitors in every season of the year. Besides the ski season, the resort village is the best starting point for spring, summer or autumn excursions, too.
Apartments of Monarchia Park are located next to slopes marked 1a, 10 and 11, between the Schönberg ski lift and Schönberg-Schaukel chairlifts.
Lachtal is one of the 7 ski areas of the Murau region, offering incomparable skiing opportunities with its ski route system up to height of 1,600-2,222 meters. The highest lift station of Styria, the Grosse Zinken at 2,222 meters, can be found here, too.
The advantage of the ski route is that the 150-hectare slope system provides recreation to people of any level of knowledge and age. There is never crowd thanks to the wide tracks, so doing sport peacefully is always guaranteed, even in the high season. Due to the high altitude of the ski and snowboard runs and the regular snowmaking by snow cannons, at least 4 months of ski season can be safely calculated every year.
In addition to the breathtaking alpine landscape, chair-lift for 6 people with heated seats and collapsible bubble and mountain huts or ‘huttes’ make the winter vacation unforgettable. The main lifts of the ski slope are the two 6-seat lifts, plus there are 7 pull lifts (one of them is a baby lift on wire rope), 1 platter and 5 T-bar lifts. Most of the 25 km long, well-maintained runs are red, making Lachtal an ideal place for families, friends, beginners and professionals.
The ski resort also offers such services as ski and snowboard schools, training courses and adventure park for children, lift for practicing, and a cross-country ski trail with 5-kilometre long tracks. Other advantages of the ski routes and slopes are the well-built infrastructure: restaurants, pizza restaurants, sports shops, ski and snowboard rental, service, grocery store and parking lots are at the guests' disposal.
