Safety and protection procedures & information
Opening winter season: 17.Dec.2021
Security measures in Monarchia Parkvas a result of the COVID-19 virus
Valid from 01.10.2020, last update 21.02.2022.
Austria eases its Covid measures from 19 February
From 19 February, "2-G" is being replaced by "3-G" (vaccinated, recovered or PCR test) at restaurants/hotels/ski lifts in all Austrian provinces except for Vienna where "2-G" remains.
On 5 March, all Covid protection measures will be lifted except for mandatory FFP2 masks on public transports and in essential shops (supermarkets, post offices, banks, pharmacies)
For entering Austria, "3-G" will - presumably - apply from 22 February.
The Austrian Covid rules from 19 February to 4 March
- "3-G" (fully vaccinated with at least 2 jabs or recovered) is required to enter all types of accommodation, restaurants, diners, cafés, cultural institutions, and leisure centres. It also applies when using ski lifts/cable cars, body related services (such as hair dressers) or when attending events (children under the age of 12 are exempt - exception: Vienna).
- At museums, you no longer need to proof your status, but you are required to wear an FFP2 mask.
- FFP2 masks remain mandatory in all public indoor areas, e. g. shops, public transport, restaurants when not seated etc.
- 2-dose-vaccinations are valid for 180 days (210 days for under 18 year olds). After that a booster jab is required, which is valid for 270 days. Attention: The 1-dose vaccine by Johnson & Johnson requires a booster since 3 January 2022.
- Restaurants/cafés/inns have a curfew at Midnight
- Bars and clubs remain closed until 5 March when après-ski will be possible again as well.
- Teenagers from the age of 12 who are not yet (fully) vaccinated can gain "3-G" status with the so-called "Holiday Ninja Pass".

Check-in
- FFP2 mask compulsory in the following marked areas: in indoor areas (in the entrance area and in the sanitary facilities), in outdoor areas: the use of the FFP2 mask can be dispensed but a distance of 2m must be maintained. Children and people who cannot be expected to wear an FFP2 mask for medical reasons are excluded from this recommendation. People who do not live in the same household and use vehicles together should wear FFP2 mask
- there is no possibility to wait in the lobby next to the reception anymore, so please do not arrive before the official arrival time - which has been changed to 5:00 p.m. this year due to the longer cleaning time - as we cannot provide any place for your changing and luggage storage during the waiting period
- keep a distance of at least 1 meter from other guests and staff
- we kindly ask that only one person of your family enter to the counter for a quick administration, while the others should wait outside
- in order to check in faster, please send your details electronically in advance, no later than the day before your arrival to office@monarchiapark.at
- Registration: https://myvisit-pass.com/stmk/ - with the digital guest registration you make an important contribution to contact tracing and to contain COVID-19
- please keep distance if you have to wait, and choose contactless payment methods
- gloves and masks are available on request, for a fee.
Wellness
- our wellness area is closed during the winter
Playroom
- the playroom will be closed during the winter season
Cleaning
- the apartments are cleaned and disinfected with our high-quality machines, however, we had to change the check-in time to do so: guest can occupy their apartments from 5 p.m. in the future
- the apartments must be left at the end of the stay no later than 10 a.m. for cleaning
- for your health, we suggest you to let some fresh air into your apartments and enjoy the clean alpine air thereby more often
- the apartments, public areas and all surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly, and we do the same with everything that can be touched (for example handles, railings, etc.)
- contactless hand sanitizer dispensers were placed in the public areas.
- clean textiles (bed linen, towels, tablecloths in the restaurant) are still provided to us by Salesianer Company, who have already represented high quality so far. In addition to the required safety measures, our textiles are cleaned with a chemothermal washing process controlled by the Robert Koch Institute, which has disinfectant effect against bacteria and viruses, including the new Corona virus (SARS-CoV-2)

Winter in the Monarchia Park is safer than before...
... since, in addition to the strict Austrian regulations and recommendations, there are a number of other reasons to spend your summer holiday in Monarchia Park:
- our apartments are located in a small dead-end village, in Lachtal, so there is no through traffic. You don’t have to take a car to indulge in your favourite winter sports
- all apartments have an own, well-equipped kitchen
- you will not come into contact with other guests in the apartment; the staircase is cleaned on a daily basis, and the handles are disinfected, as well
- there are neither central air conditioning or ventilation equipment in our apartment houses which can be a potential source of the spread of viruses and pathogens
- lifts can be operated safely, there are no closed cabins or lifts, thus ventilation is provided continuously
- the lift company of Lachtal is also preparing for the opening with great care; continuously updated information can be obtained from here.
… in addition, hiking and enjoying nature provides relaxation, recreation and it strengthens your immune system for the future.
