Booking a room
1. How early do I need to book an apartment?
It is recommended to book for the special seasons (New Year's Eve, Vienna Week, Styrian Provincial Week) already in autumn. If you arrive on weekends, it is also recommended to book 1-2 months beforehand. If you decide suddenly on spending some days skiing at us but had not booked your vacation in advance, you should inquire by phone. There is a great chance that we can provide you with an apartment even in this case, especially if you are flexible with the dates. It is also worth making use of our 5% early booking discount, to which booking and advance payment have to be done no later than 30th September.
2. How can I book an apartment?
Apartments can be booked only in writing: - by clicking on the online reservation on our website, - by clicking on the online reservation on our website.
You can also make your inquires by phone via our telephone number 00 43 3587 27360 - we are at your service in German, English and Hungarian languages - the basis on which we will send you an offer, which has to be confirmed in writing. It is important for you to know that any booking is valid only after the written confirmation and paying the advance payment.
3. How can I pay in Monarchia Park?
In Monarchia Park you can pay in cash (only in Euro), with debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard).
4. How much do I have to pay in advance?
All bookings require a 30% advance payment, which can be paid by credit card or by money transfer (to an Austrian bank account, in euro).
5. When do I have to pay the remaining amount?
The remaining amount (70%) is payable 14 days prior to arrival.
6. What happens to the advance payment if we cannot travel by chance?
In such a case, our cancellation policy will govern. Cancellation has to be sent via e-mail at all times, to email@example.com . You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to the 36th day before the arrival. In case of cancellation 35-21 days prior to arrival, 40% of the price of the accommodation is payable; 75% of the price of the accommodation is payable if the cancellation is done 20-11 days before the arrival; and 100% of the price of the accommodation is payable within 10 days prior to arrival, or in case of no-show or early departure.
We recommend taking out a cancellation insurance policy of Europäische Reseversicherung, which can be taken out online on the following link, within some minutes.
7. How much is the tourist tax?
The tourist tax is 1.50 EUR/person/night, the amount of which is payable over the age of 16. Tourist tax is not included in our prices, it is payable separately in all cases.
8. What other fees are payable on site?
Fees for final cleaning and bed linen are not included in price of accommodation. The fee for final cleaning is 49 EUR in case of apartment type “A” and 89 EUR in case of type “B”. The fee for bed linen including a set of bed linen, a large bath towel and a small towel - and it cannot be replaced by own - is 9 EUR/person. Final cleaning does not apply to the cleaning of kitchen utensils. We kindly request our guests to wash up the dishes, cutlery and plates used during their stay in every case. 15 EUR will be charged for failure to do so!
1. When can I check in and check out of the apartments?
Checking in the rooms can be at 4:00 p.m. at the earliest, and rooms have to be left no later than 10:00 am.
2. Is there a chance to ski and change clothes even on the day of arrival?
There is possibility to change in our central building even in the morning, and the car can be parked next to the building. However, we cannot provide for the proper guarding of the luggage.
3. What do we have to bring on us?
Personal documents are required for checking in. If you want to use the wellness section, you need to bring bathing suits with you, too. From season 2018/19, hair dryer, liquid soap and shampoo are at guests' disposal in the apartments.
4. Is there WiFi (wireless internet) in the apartments?
We offer broadband internet (WiFi) throughout the hotel (including all rooms and apartments) free of charge.
5. Is smoking allowed in the apartments and in the central building?
Smoking is prohibited both in the apartments and in the central building.
6. Is there any apartments located in the central building, so I do not have to go out if I want to go to the restaurant and the wellness section?
There are two apartments, type “A”, located next to each other upstairs in the central building.
7. Can we request baby cots and changing tables for babies to be placed into the apartment?
We can provide baby cots and bathtubs for the apartments. We ask our guests to indicate their requests at the time of booking, as these equipments are available only in a limited number. The baby changing room is located in the central building, in the bathroom for the disabled.
1. Is here any parking possibility?
Yes, there is. Our guests can park in front of our central building. If this car park is full, an other parking facility is available for our guests 100 meters away. Parking lots are not guarded.
2. Does the price of accommodation include parking?
Yes, 1 parking lot per apartment type “A” and 2 per type “B” are provided for the guests.
1. Does the price of accommodation include the use of the wellness section?
Yes, in case of booking a package with half-board; however, in case of self-catering, it is subject to fee.
2. Can I use the wellness section after checking out?
The wellness area is no longer available for guests after their check-out.
3. When is the wellness section open?
The swimming pool is open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day, and the saunas are open from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
4. Is the wellness section open to non-hotel guests as well?
Our wellness section can only be used by the guests of Monarchia Park.
1. When is Jagdhaus Restaurant open?
Our restaurant is open during breakfast and dinner times and is closed in the rest of the day. Breakfast is available from 08:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The half-board dinner is served between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. A'la carte menu is available between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. We recommend booking a table in advance via telephone, mobile phone number: 0043 676 88312503, or please contact the reception in person.
2. Is it possible to have the dinner in the apartment?
Those who do not want to eat in the restaurant can choose from a special menu and pizza card that can be found in the apartments. The ordered and prepared meals can be taken from the restaurant at the agreed time.
3. Is any vegetarian food served?
Yes, we can also provide meals of high quality for our vegetarian guests.
4. Is there lactose- and gluten-free menu?
Our guests are kindly requested to inform us about their requirements for lactose- and gluten-free meals before their arrival.
1. Can I take a pet to the hotel?
Our pet-friendly guests can bring their pets against an additional cost. The one-time extra fee for pets is 40 EUR, which does not include food. One small pet is allowed per apartment. If this is not enough, we can recommend the nearby kennel.
2. Can I buy gift voucher?
You can buy gift vouchers which may include any of our services.
3. Does the reception work non-stop?
No, it doesn’t. Our reception works only during the opening hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Outside this time, if it is necessary, you can reach us by telephone: +43 676 88312500.
4. Can I buy ski pass in the hotel?
Yes, ski pass can be purchased at our reception and can be paid at departure. The ski pass can be issued against a deposit of 3 EUR, which is payable in cash, and can be redeemed at our reception.
5. In case of late arrival, how can we get into the apartment?
If you arrive after 6:00 p.m., we kindly request you to call and inform our reception about that. We will pin a poster up onto the door of the central building/reception, showing the map of the apartment village, the name given at the booking and the number of the apartment. The key of guests coming after 6:00 p.m. will be put into the keyhole of their apartment. These guests can check in at the reception the following morning, from 8:00 a.m.
6. Can I arrive without tire snow chains?
There are times when you cannot, so it is not worth coming to us without snow chains due to the fact that our apartment village lies at 1650 meters above sea level. After heavy snowing when no snowploughs are working yet, or in case of snowing at night, it may not be possible to reach us without snow chains.
The use of winter tires or snow chains is mandatory within winter conditions in Austria between 1 November and 15 April. Drivers of private cars and goods vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes gross weight can use the roads in Austria in wintry conditions within the above mentioned period only with winter tyres fitted on all four wheels or snow chains on the drive wheels.
